Dear diary, the start we’ve made has been strong. My legs feel no weaker than when we left the
other day. My eyes still see the road as clear as I did the other day and my companion seems not
to be weary or dreaded by what’s to come. The suns shine is bright but we are not effected by its
strength, the winds blow with a light gust, I can smell the sea in the breezes that pass us by.
It’s nice to be out on days like these, they have a melancholic mist about them that remind me of days past.
They remind of when I was no younger than five and would travel (at least what seemed to be at the time when
my legs were no longer than those of a young goat) great distances over meadows and through forests filled
with oak, elks and pine trees that could reach the very top of the sky.
